About The Position

The Tooling Engineer designs, develops, validates, and maintains tooling and equipment used in manufacturing. The role focuses on creating efficient, cost-effective tooling solutions aligned with production goals, product quality, and operational efficiency. The engineer collaborates with design, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to optimize tooling, troubleshoot production issues, and support continuous improvement. The position is based in the United States and works the third shift, from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in tooling design and development within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD for tooling design.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as machining, stamping, molding, or assembly.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with CNC programming and operation.
• Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards.
• Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification.
• Experience working in automotive, aerospace, or heavy machinery industries.
• Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate tooling and fixtures to support manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with product design and manufacturing teams to ensure tooling meets production requirements and quality standards.
• Analyze existing tooling performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve tooling-related issues during production to minimize downtime.
• Manage tooling documentation, including specifications, drawings, and maintenance records.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for tooling procurement and maintenance services.
• Support the implementation of new manufacturing technologies and processes related to tooling.
