About The Position

We are a family-owned business that supplies cutting tools, abrasives, and other manufacturing supplies to aerospace, defense and automotive customers. Founded in 1958, we are the largest cutting tool reconditioning firm in North America. Openings are currently available in Sharonville, OH, Livonia, MI, and Dearborn, MI. Applicants will be considered for the location they select during the application process.

Requirements

At least 3 years of machining experience
Must have strong technical knowledge of cutting tools and cutting tool applications
Process improvement experience
Knowledge of cutting tool geometry
Knowledge of cutting tool manufacturers
Excellent communication skills.
Strong mathematical skills
Ability to interpret complex prints and models
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Must be able to perform duties with minimal supervision
Data analysis

Nice To Haves

Automotive experience a plus
High temp alloy machining a plus
Knowledge of the aerospace market a plus
Experience with multi-axis machine tool programing a plus

Responsibilities

Ensure all tooling released to production meets customer’s requirements
Routine, basic inspection of tooling
Assist with tooling performance checks
Works with engineers to determine tooling needs
Troubleshooting of issues relating to product application
Application support of new products
Improve existing processes and applications by reviewing objectives and specifications
Recommend changes and make modifications to tooling, applications and processes of machining as needed
Continuous search for cost savings and productivity improvements.
Performs other duties as assigned by Management
