Tooling Build Engineer SR

Blue Origin•Space Coast, FL

About The Position

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which supports manufacturing and supply chain across Blue Origin facilities. As part of a team of engineers, designers, and fabricators, the Tooling Build Engineer plans, facilitates, and drives the build, integration, and commissioning of large tooling and factory automation systems. The role works directly with design engineers, fabricators, tool builders, production teams, and other support groups to coordinate planning, facility integration, production communication, supply chain, and project execution. It applies technical expertise, leadership, and a commitment to quality in support of rocket hardware development and safe human spaceflight. The engineer supports multiple projects of varying size and scale, addressing technical challenges across assembly fixtures, material handlers, rotisseries, test fixtures, structural weldments, environmental chambers, and custom machines. The role collaborates across engineering and manufacturing to meet safety, cost, quality, delivery, reliability, and maintenance or refurbishment goals, while managing schedules and budgets.
