About The Position

The Tooling Associate designs, plans, constructs, and alters production machines, equipment, physical structures, and infrastructure within the facility and grounds. The role includes hands-on shop work, tooling maintenance and repair, purchasing and quotation responsibilities, and collaboration with machine setup personnel and operators to gather feedback and identify improvements.

Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate, and implement tooling, gauges, and machine fixtures used in production.
• Monitor tools to ensure efficiency and identify necessary repairs or improvements.
• Service and repair tooling by stripping down, cleaning, lubricating, and rebuilding it.
• Analyze specifications and set up and operate machine tools.
• Maintain, adjust, improve, and develop tooling, gauges, and machine fixtures.
• Handle purchasing and quotation responsibilities, troubleshoot in the shop, and work directly with machine setup personnel and operators to gather feedback and ideas for tooling improvements.
• Ensure operations meet standards and support continuous improvement efforts.
• Undertake continuous training and development.
• Complete required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
• Communicate with other departments as necessary.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Adhere to company rules and policies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
