About The Position

The Industrial Tool Technician is responsible for the inspection, testing, cleaning, repair and maintenance of all small tools & equipment associated with general rental operations, with a particular focus on shutdown related equipment. This role involves performing repairs and maintenance on a variety of tools and equipment, assisting with the mobilization and demobilization of industrial tools, and preparing new equipment for the rental fleet. The technician must adhere to manufacturer, TCRS, and legislative standards, and may occasionally be required to perform minor repairs on small gasoline or diesel-powered equipment.

Requirements

• Technical knowledge & mechanical aptitude to perform service & maintenance tasks on construction tools & equipment, to small gasoline & diesel powered pumps, generators & general construction & maintenance equipment.
• Proficient reading & writing skills
• Basic knowledge of computer applications
• Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic & hydraulic systems
• Well organized with the ability to identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies.
• Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills and abilities
• Capable of working with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Performs inspection, testing, certification, cleaning, repair & maintenance on tools & equipment, ranging from hand tools, electric, pneumatic & hydraulic power tools & equipment.
• May perform minor repairs or maintenance on small gasoline or diesel powered equipment.
• Ensures all work is within manufacturer, TCRS & any related legislation.
• Completes additional documentation to support TCRS Resources service work performed.
• Assists with loading & unloading of Industrial tools & equipment for TCRS Shutdown activities.
• Identifies and prepares new equipment and tools for TCRS Rental Fleet.
• Performs other duties as directed and instructed, from time to time.
