This position is responsible for setting tooling for CNC machines, using and interpreting tooling set-up sheets, and matching diameters and lengths for multiple spindle operations. The role involves identifying and selecting proper holders, maintaining inventory, monitoring tool usage, and troubleshooting tooling problems with the CNC team. The Tool Setter will also work with the Cutter Department, Purchasing, and vendors, maintain the tooling budget, and calibrate/maintain the parlec tool setter.
