About The Position

The Tool Setter / Mold Setter position at NYX requires a mechanically inclined individual with a steady work history and basic industrial maintenance experience. Responsibilities include setting and pulling molds, cleaning tools, spraying, closing up tools, and starting up presses. The role also involves verifying production quality, providing samples to QA, and installing/uninstalling molds according to specifications. The candidate must be proficient with hand tools and able to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

Walks through current and previous tasks from the previous shift.
Keep abreast of the schedule of molds to be set and/or uninstalled during shift.
Set and pull mold by the standards provided in the Beach mold & Tool Set-Up Manual.
Set and pull mold to a responsible and safe set up time.
Receive and return production packet & old labels to the staging area.
When tool is pulled clean tool, spray and close up tool.
Start up the press after set up. Verify production quality, then provide sample to Q.A.
Remove any purgings from the press and clean up the press and the surrounding area, including the floor, via “5S”.
Acknowledge and generate w.o. for maintenance repairs.
Complete whatever is deemed necessary by Plant Management.
Install/uninstall molds per manufacturer and customer specifications including all quality documentation and alert boards, being sure to properly install all electrical connections and hydraulic hoses per specifications.
