About The Position

This position is responsible for assisting with mold disassembly and assembly. Functions include moving molds, taking apart plates and components, cleaning parts, reassembling, pin changes, and configuration changes. Cleaning involves sandblasting, lubricating, using the Ultrasonic room, and utilizing solvents. The role also involves following a preventative maintenance program, which includes disassembly and cleaning of parts, molds, and components. The employee will clean parts, protect them from damage, and store them correctly. General housekeeping duties such as sweeping, trash removal, cleaning plastic from molds and equipment, and maintaining a neat and orderly work area with clear walkways and aisles are also part of the responsibilities. The employee may perform other duties according to skill and availability when work in their primary classification is not available.

Requirements

• 1-3 years’ work experience
• 40 hour work week
• Basic computer skills
• Mechanically inclined
• Experience in a Mechanical environment
• Self-Starter

Responsibilities

• Assist with mold disassembly and assembly
• Move molds, take apart plates and components
• Clean parts using sandblasting, lubrication, the Ultrasonic room, and solvents
• Perform pin changes and configuration changes
• Follow the preventative maintenance program, including disassembly and cleaning of parts/molds/components
• Protect cleaned parts from damage and store them in correct drawers
• Perform general housekeeping duties including sweeping, trash removal, and cleaning plastic from molds and equipment
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area, keeping walkways and aisles clear
• Perform other duties as assigned when primary work is not available
