We are seeking a Tool Room Supervisor to manage all aspects of organizing manufacturing tools and equipment, ensuring high-quality standards and production efficiency. Key responsibilities include managing inventory, leading machinists, enforcing safety compliance, troubleshooting machinery, facilitating the effectiveness of the documented quality program, and talent management.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and execute tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to come up with creative solutions to complex issues
  • High school diploma or GED, required
  • 1–8+ years in manufacturing tooling and design
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency in precision measurement tools, experience with manual mills and familiarity with ERP software: CATIA, Solidworks, or Unigraphics/NX.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical training or a related degree in engineering, preferred.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience or leadership/management certification, strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily tool room activities, including scheduling, prioritizing tool repairs and design of dies, or fixtures.
  • Lead, train, and mentor toolmakers, machinists, and apprentices on best practices, safety procedures, and technical skills.
  • Work with safety manager and manufacturing team to provide safety solutions for new and existing equipment as needed.
  • Ensure tools meet production quality standards, maintaining accurate records of service history and repairs.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment for the engineering and tool room staff while executing daily tasks.
  • Assist in developing manufacturing plans for new and existing parts by translating customer drawings and specifications into comprehensive work instructions.
  • Provide support for initiatives to reduce downtime and enhance tool performance.
