About The Position
The Eberhard Manufacturing team is seeking a Tool Room Machinist for our facility in Strongsville, OH. This is a 1st shift, full-time position. The Tool Room Machinist will be responsible for job duties in the Tool & Die department.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to work with little or no supervision
- Ability to identify process reduction ideas on each job as assigned
- Able to perform part / gage layout to determine repairs needed
- Crane operation and function
- CNC programming / operation
- Ability to generate detail prints from concepts or reverse engineering existing components
Nice To Haves
- Journeyman’s card or equivalent a plus
- Wire EDM programing and operation experience a plus (with the opportunity to learn)
Responsibilities
- Ability to read and interpret detailed drawings.
- Produce details, components, drawings or concepts.
- Set up, adjust and operate all basic Tool room machines, tools and many specialized or advanced variations tools.
- Understand, Monitor and control cutting feed rate and speeds.
- Follow safety rules and regulations
- Multi-tasking ability to work on multiple jobs at one time.
- Build, maintain, gages and fixtures (welding, part checking, machining)
- Knowledge of different types of steels. Proper cutting feeds and speeds for each.
- Knowledge of tool steel heat treating
- Knowledge of Tool room measuring equipment (mics, calipers, depth mics, height gage, etc...)
- Safety prioritization
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area
- Maintain department’s perishable tooling
- Any other tasks assigned by the Tool Room Coordinator
