Medicoil is seeking an experienced Tool Room Machinist to design, build, repair, and modify tooling—including jigs, fixtures, and dies—to support manufacturing operations. The role supports production and assembly departments through tooling improvements, equipment repairs, and R&D part fabrication. Requirements

• Proven experience as a machinist or tool room machinist.
• Experience with manual and CNC machining, including mills, lathes, and grinders.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with tooling, fixtures, jigs, and gauges.
• High school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

• CAD/CAM or EDM experience.
• Vocational training or an apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Build, repair, and modify tools, jigs, fixtures, and dies.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Set up and operate machine shop equipment such as mills, lathes, grinders, and EDM.
• Inspect finished work using precision measuring tools.
• Support production and assembly departments with tooling improvements.
• Assist with equipment repairs and R&D part fabrication.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow safety procedures.
