About The Position

The Tool Room Machinist I performs basic machining tasks in the tool room under general supervision. The role is intended for someone with limited to some machining experience and involves working independently and as part of a team, collaborating with Engineering, Planners, and Quality. The position requires regular on-site attendance and may involve working in other functional areas or facilities, overtime, or alternate shifts according to business needs.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent, plus related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to perform basic measurements.
Ability to read basic blueprints and use various measuring equipment.
Ability to work to a tolerance of +/- .005 inches.
Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Word.
Ability to clearly, concisely, and accurately convey information verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

Perform basic machine operation under general supervision.
Inspect parts and move product.
Report problems, deviations, or quality concerns to a senior-level Machinist or Supervisor.
Change tooling on specified machines.
Transact parts accordingly.
Participate in and sustain 5S standards and workplace organization activities, maintaining the area in good working order.
Follow required safety and ISO procedures.
Maintain regular on-site attendance and punctuality.
Work in other functional areas or facilities as business needs require.
Work overtime or alternate shifts as business needs require.
Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
