The Tool Room Lead- Level 4 is responsible for managing the requisition, receipt, identification, stocking, distribution, and collection of various items including fixed asset tools, shop supplies, and electrical/electronic testing equipment. This role operates a computer workstation and requires proficiency in Microsoft Word, inventory control systems, and precise measuring equipment, along with familiarity with FOD control procedures. The position also involves monitoring equipment for safety and operational readiness, tracking equipment status and location, managing misplaced or overdue items, and ensuring timely calibration and maintenance servicing. The lead will perform tool control duties to ensure the availability of tooling and consumable supplies, handle HAZMAT storage and issue, and maintain accountability for company or government HAZMAT in accordance with regulations. Responsibilities include maintaining checklists, files, and logs for tool control, setting up paperwork for the next shift, and potentially performing tool crib attendant duties. The role involves servicing employees at a counter for tool distribution and return, providing, stocking, and ordering consumable supplies, and performing related duties as directed. The lead will contribute to equipment effectiveness through operator upkeep, adhere to environmental health and safety rules, and practice good housekeeping. U.S. Citizenship is required, and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance is necessary.
