Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Journeyman’s card in Tool and Die, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent attendance record.
• Consistently meets or exceeds commitments with the highest standards of ethics and integrity required.
• U.S. Citizenship, Permanent Residency or other appropriate status is required for certain positions, in accord with U.S. import & export regulations.

Responsibilities

• Make, re-grind, repair, modify and recondition tooling and fixtures to close tolerances used on machines throughout the operation.
• Rework gauges and gauge plugs.
• Check vendor tooling on a limited basis.
• Interpret complex prints and interface with engineering to support tooling and manufacturing requirements.
• Required to visit shop floor and troubleshoot production issues.
• Requisition supplies and materials as required.
• Setup and operate manual toolroom equipment including grinders, lathes, Bridgeport and other equipment available to support manufacturing and assembly.
• Selects materials, standards and methods to be used.
• Knowledge of the general production system is a must.
• In the absence of specifications or design details, independently determine appropriate methods and solutions based on experience.
• Trains others and assigns work.
• Maintain neat, clean and organized area.
• Must maintain the highest degree of quality, safety, cost reduction and customer service continuously.
• Works independently.
• Perform these duties and others as requested.
