About The Position
SouthernCarlson is a leading distributor of construction and packaging tools, fasteners, jobsite supplies, and expert service across North America. We are seeking a Service Technician who enjoys hands-on work, troubleshooting equipment, and helping customers keep their tools running efficiently. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering excellent customer service.
Requirements
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
- Customer-focused mindset with strong communication skills
- Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Nice To Haves
- Experience repairing small engines, construction tools, or pneumatic/electric power tools preferred
- Previous experience in construction or industrial supply industry is a plus
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and electric power tools including nail guns and staple guns
- Provide customers with guidance on proper tool operation and maintenance
- Process and fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Complete documentation such as work orders, parts orders, and service records
- Partner with the sales team to resolve customer issues and ensure satisfaction
- Deliver professional, friendly customer service during all service interactions
