About The Position

The Tool Mechanic maintains and repairs hydraulic, pneumatic, gas-powered, battery-operated, and manual tools used by PECO field crews. The role provides repair service in the field and/or in service buildings to support crew work. It also evaluates new tools for purchase and develops and delivers tool-use instructions to field crews. This is an on-site position at Exelon’s Philadelphia, Pennsylvania location.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 12 months of experience in hydraulic, pneumatic, and gasoline engine repair.
• Basic understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems diagnosis.
• Working knowledge of PC and mainframe computer technology, including Word, Excel, P-card, MCMS, and code block validation.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug/alcohol tests, background checks, and physicals.
• Good organizational and communication skills.

• Forklift experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive damaged tools and log them into the tracking system to monitor repair progress.
• Repair tools returned from the field.
• Maintain and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, gas-powered, battery-operated, and manual tools used by PECO field crews.
• Provide repair service in the field and/or service buildings as required.
• Evaluate new tools for purchase.
• Develop and deliver instructions to field crews.
