About The Position
The Toro Company is seeking a skilled Tool Maker to build a variety of tools, engineering changes, molds, templates, fixtures, and jigs. This role involves setting up, adjusting, and operating various machine shop equipment, selecting and laying out materials, and drawing sketches with calculations for dimensions. The Tool Maker will also be responsible for repairing or modifying existing tools, calculating shrink rate dimensions for different plastics, and training mold technicians. This position requires a team player with the ability to work on miniature, close-tolerance parts and fixtures with minimal supervision.
Requirements
- High school or equivalent preferred
- Demonstrate acceptable layout welding skills and quality
- Able to communicate effectively over the phone and before small groups of people.
- Demonstrate basic computer skills.
- Have appropriate reading, clerical, and basic mathematical skills.
Nice To Haves
- 1+ yrs. tool & die manufacturing experience
- Related vocational certificate or associates degree
- CNC programming with milling and EDM machine experience
- Able to read blue prints and reverse design parts and pieces from molds and equipment
Responsibilities
