Tool Maker II
About The Position
The Tool Maker II is responsible for working on a variety of operations and production machinery to fabricate, and/or process parts, and perform required tasks in the manufacture of product. This position reports to the Production Supervisor and is located in Cortland, NY and is an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Set up and operate a variety of machine tools including, but not limited to: Lathes, Mills, Drills, Grinders, Hones and other surface finishing equipment. Work under the direction of supervisors, or more experienced personnel, with little supervision. Plans and produces/repairs parts, machines, jogs, fixtures, tooling and prototypes using good machining practices.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, G.E.D. or Equivalent.
- 18 months + of related tool making experience.
- Ability to stand, sit, stoop, bend, walk, reach, squat, kneel, push, and pull for a minimum, 8 hours.
- Ability to lift and carry 0-10lbs continuously, 11-40lbs occasionally (with assistance if needed), and push/pull 0-25lbs frequently and 26-100lbs occasionally (with assistance if needed).
