About The Position

This position is responsible for building, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing dies, tooling, and components to support production. The role involves machining tooling components using both manual and CNC equipment, as well as installing, adjusting, and troubleshooting dies and tooling in production presses. The Tool & Die Maker will also inspect tooling for wear, functionality, and quality, perform preventive maintenance and improvements, and support operators and setup personnel with technical guidance. Maintaining documentation and participating in 5S activities are also key aspects of the role, along with adhering to all quality, safety, and environmental requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and hand tools.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Strong machining, troubleshooting, and mechanical problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of CNC programming, CAD, and GD&T.
• Understanding of heat treating, cutting tool technology, sensors, and tooling applications.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to perform excessive walking, standing, bending, climbing, reaching, grasping, and lifting.
• Ability to visually inspect parts and use of hands to use measuring gauges.
• Ability to run machines and equipment safely and efficiently.

• Tool & Die Maker Journeyman preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate mills, lathes, grinders, drill presses, and wire EDM equipment.
• Install, adjust, and troubleshoot dies and tooling in production presses.
• Inspect tooling for wear, functionality, and quality requirements.
• Perform preventive maintenance and tooling improvements.
• Support operators and setup personnel with technical guidance and troubleshooting.
• Maintain required documentation and participate in 5S activities.
• Follow all quality, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
