About The Position

Support manufacturing operations by machining, fabricating, repairing, and maintaining dies, fixtures, tooling, and specialized equipment. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a team-focused environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
  • Strong math skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to safely set up and operate manual machining equipment.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments and work to close tolerances.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Working knowledge of machine components, tooling, fasteners, threads, metals, alloys, and tool steels.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, adaptable, and able to work independently within a team-focused environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Five years of machining experience preferred.
  • TIG and MIG welding experience preferred.
  • Experience with tool and die repair, fabrication, maintenance, and heat-treating processes preferred.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented approach with a strong desire to learn and contribute to the success of the organization preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate manual mills, lathes, and surface grinders.
  • Use precision measuring equipment to ensure components meet required tolerances.
  • Inspect, modify, repair, and build tools, dies, fixtures, and equipment repair parts as needed.
  • Repair, replace, adjust, and align machinery and equipment components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, lifts, and hoists.
  • Perform TIG and MIG welding as needed.
  • Test machines following repairs to verify proper operation and functionality.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Apply working knowledge of machines, tools, screws, threads, metals, alloys, tool steels, and heat-treating processes.
  • Follow all safety, quality, housekeeping, and work documentation requirements.
  • Work independently while supporting team priorities and manufacturing needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
