About The Position

This role involves the design, manufacturing, assembly, repair, and sharpening of dies, fixtures, gauges, and production equipment. The position requires setting up, programming, and operating CNC and manual machining equipment, including mills, lathes, grinders, and presses. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting blueprints, performing accurate layouts and inspections to tight tolerances (±.0005 inches), selecting appropriate materials, and preparing metal surfaces. The role also entails troubleshooting production equipment, supporting continuous process improvement, using precision measuring instruments, and performing visual inspections. Adherence to safety procedures, reliable attendance, and willingness to work overtime are expected, contributing to a team-focused, quality-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Completion of a technical school machine tool apprenticeship or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 10,000 hours of machining experience.
  • Strong knowledge of machining operations, tooling, hydraulics, pneumatics, and metal forming processes.
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude, strong math skills, and the ability to work independently.

  • Read, interpret, and verify blueprints; perform accurate layouts and inspections to tight tolerances (±.0005 inches).
  • Select appropriate materials and prepare metal surfaces through cleaning and deburring.
  • Troubleshoot production equipment and support continuous process improvement.
  • Use precision measuring instruments and perform visual inspections throughout manufacturing processes.
  • Follow safety procedures, maintain reliable attendance, work overtime as required, and contribute to a team-focused, quality-driven environment.
