About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Tool & Die Maker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for building, repairing, modifying, and maintaining tooling, dies, molds, fixtures, and precision machine components that support our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong machining expertise, experience working with precision equipment, and a commitment to producing high-quality work in a safe and efficient environment.

Requirements

  • Comprehensive knowledge of: EDM machines, Bridgeport mills, Surface grinders, 3-axis and 5-axis CNC milling equipment
  • Ability to safely operate precision measuring instruments and production equipment.
  • Strong understanding of: Geometry, Trigonometry, Algebra, Metallic properties and machining characteristics
  • Proficiency with CAD software.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with engineers, machinists, and production teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency and accountability.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including off-shifts and weekends, as needed to support maintenance programs and training.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, teamwork, and customer-focused support of operations.
  • Successful completion of a Tool & Die apprenticeship program through a licensed professional or accredited organization required.
  • Tool & Die Maker certification required.
  • Frequent sitting and working near moving machinery.
  • Occasional bending and lifting of up to 25 pounds.
  • Infrequent squatting, kneeling, reaching, stair climbing, ladder climbing, walking on uneven surfaces, and other physical movements associated with manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to safely perform job duties in a production setting.

  • Relevant Tool & Die Maker experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Build, repair, modify, and maintain dies, molds, fixtures, jigs, tooling, and machine components.
  • Create and fabricate new tooling and fixtures to support production requirements.
  • Disassemble, repair, troubleshoot, and reassemble molds, dies, tools, and fixtures.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, and complex schematics.
  • Utilize CAD software to create designs and convert concepts into production-ready drawings.
  • Operate precision machining equipment including EDM machines, CNC mills, Bridgeport mills, and surface grinders.
  • Inspect completed tooling and components to ensure quality, accuracy, and functionality.
  • Test and evaluate equipment, tooling, and machinery to verify proper performance and setup.
  • Modify machine settings such as speed, feed rates, and cutting paths to achieve product specifications and quality standards.
  • Perform die fitting, polishing, and finishing operations.
  • Coordinate the timely availability of materials, supplies, and equipment required for tooling projects.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Support production, maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
