Requirements

2+ years’ experience with tool and die fabrication, preferably with metal stamping company.
Basic math & trigonometry.
Knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution is required

Nice To Haves

Preferred knowledge of coining metals, nickel alloy behavior, deep draw, and transfer press techniques.

Responsibilities

Building, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing tools & dies in support of our progressive and secondary stamping presses.
Collaborating closely with design engineers.
Set up and operate all tool room equipment: surface grinders, heat treat ovens, hone, polishing, jig bore, etc.
Inspect parts visually and dimensionally to meet print criteria using precision measuring instruments such as optical comparators, micrometers, calipers, and depth gauges.
Perform all work necessary to assure that parts produced will meet the drawing specifications and pass internal inspection.
Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work area at all times.
