Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; vocational or technical training in Tool & Die preferred
  • Strong experience with stamping dies, molds, jigs, fixtures, and metalworking techniques
  • Proficiency operating manual and CNC machining equipment
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and craftsmanship
  • Dependable work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, repair, and maintain stamping dies, molds, jigs, fixtures, and production tooling
  • Set up and operate manual and CNC machining equipment, including lathes, Bridgeport mills, drill presses, grinders, and saws
  • Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot tooling issues to minimize downtime
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering specifications
  • Inspect finished components using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and indicators
  • Partner with Production and Maintenance teams to improve tooling performance and manufacturing efficiency
  • Maintain accurate maintenance, repair, and modification records
  • Mentor Tool & Die trainees or apprentices as needed
  • Follow all safety, quality, and 5S standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives
