About The Position

Tube Specialties, Inc. is hiring an experienced Tool & Die Maker for its Tool Room team in aerospace manufacturing. This hands-on role involves reading blueprints, machining precision parts, and applying design skills to tooling and fixture work, including CAD software such as SolidWorks. The position is on-site and requires access to ITAR-controlled information and technology; applicants must meet the stated U.S. Person definition. Employment offers are contingent on a background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 3 years of experience as a Tool Maker.
Prior press work experience.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and commitment to quality and safety.
Strong blueprint-reading and precision-measurement skills.
Ability to stand 6–8 hours per day.
Ability to lift 40–50 pounds.
Regular use of hands for handling tools, parts, and controls.
Ability to reach or stretch up to 3 feet.
Must be a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 to access ITAR-controlled information, technical data, and technology.

Nice To Haves

CNC, CAM, Fadal, and Milltronics machine experience.
Basic knowledge of design principles and CAD/CAM software, such as SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

Read blueprints, sketches, and specifications to plan and design tooling, dies, and assemblies.
Set up and operate conventional and CNC machine tools, including lathes, mills, grinders, and EDM, to shape parts to precise dimensions.
Fit, assemble, and repair dies, jigs, gauges, and fixtures using machine and hand tools.
Verify dimensions and tolerances using calipers, micrometers, gauge blocks, and dial indicators.
Run test cycles on completed tools and dies, inspect for defects, and make adjustments.
Recommend design improvements to tooling and fixtures using CAD software such as SolidWorks.
