About The Position

The Tool and Die Administrative Assistant increases efficiency through the tool and die shop by coordinating the purchasing, receiving, and organization of raw materials and components for all jobs. They work with other internal stakeholders to take orders for spare parts, send quotes and invoices, and coordinate delivery of finished goods. Additionally, they support shop management by compiling reports on a regular basis.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or higher
  • 2+ years’ experience in inventory management or purchasing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software
  • Experience or willingness to learn ERP procurement tools

Nice To Haves

  • CMMS experience
  • Report compilation experience
  • Previous work in a machine shop and/or industrial environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead and foster our “people first” culture.
  • Obtain quotes, submit purchase requisitions, receive orders, and inventory/organize raw materials and components for all jobs in the machine shop.
  • Coordinate with maintenance administrators to receive and place orders for repeat jobs.
  • Manage inventory of consumable tooling and supplies for the shop.
  • Send quotations and invoices to appropriate internal parties and coordinate delivery of finished goods.
  • Compile monthly cost reclassification report, annual material audit report, and other reporting as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.
