Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
1+ years in manufacturing recommended
1 + years operating cnc equipment recommended
Experience in grinding and using grinding equipment recommended
Blueprint reading and understanding of GD&T is preferred, training can be provided
Basic Computer proficiency

Nice To Haves

ANCA experience
1+ years tool grinding experience
Basic knowledge of cutting tool geometry
Solid Works or similar CAD software
Precision inspection equipment

Responsibilities

Operate five axis tool and cutter grinder machine (ANCA) to manufacture cutting tools.
Use inspection equipment to measure cutting tools.
Laser Marking to etch tool information on each tool.
Communicate with team lead and/or management on needs within the department.
Adjust program and grinding process to maximize quality and efficiency and perform complex setups with minimal direction and supervision.
Work to high standards and contribute to continuous improvement; communicate issues to team leader in a timely manner; effectively leaves notes for next shift.
Assist in maintaining the department’s equipment and preventive maintenance.
