About The Position
Southwest Mobile Storage specializes in modifying storage containers for sale or lease. We are seeking a reliable, self-motivated Tool Crib position. Candidates must be eager to learn with a great teamwork spirit. The position requires basic computer skills, and an organized/meticulous mindset. This is an excellent starting point into our company. With a commitment to safety, innovation, and customer satisfaction, we are expanding our team and seeking skilled Tool Crib Attendant to join us in maintaining our reputation for excellence. Pay $17-20 DOE.
Requirements
- Knowledge of tools used in the industry.
- Basic computer skills, including inventory management software.
- Ability to perform basic math for inventory control and record-keeping.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Good communication and people skills.
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency and handle multiple tasks.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in an industrial or warehouse environment is a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Issue tools, equipment, and materials to shop personnel and maintain accurate records of items issued and returned.
- Locate lost or misplaced tools and equipment as needed.
- Maintain and update inventory records, either manually or using computer systems.
- Receive, unpack, and store incoming tools and equipment, ensuring proper storage.
- Requisition stock to replenish inventory levels as needed.
- Track and record daily work tasks and labor hours for shop personnel.
- Provide tools and consumables to shop personnel from the tool crib.
- Maintain and update records of company-provided tools issued to shop personnel.
- Assist in the shipping and receiving process.
- Ensure the tool crib is organized, clean, and stocked with the necessary tools and materials.
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency in performing tasks to ensure smooth operations.
- Follow all safety protocols to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
