About The Position

The Tool and Die Repair Technician is responsible for repairing, grinding, shimming, and sharpening various types of stamping dies. This role also involves assisting with the manufacturing of spare parts for dies and other metal forming equipment, removing and setting up large dies in presses, and training die setters. Additionally, the technician will help manufacture and assemble machined parts for custom equipment and support overall plant manufacturing operations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years of relevant experience in a metal stamping facility.

Responsibilities

  • Repair, grind, shim, and sharpen single station and progressive stamping dies for steel and aluminum.
  • Assist with manufacturing spare detail sections for critical stamping dies.
  • Assist with manufacturing spare parts for other metal forming equipment (e.g., Riveters).
  • Remove and set up larger progressive stamping dies in 300–400-ton presses.
  • Assist with training Die Setters on proper set up of smaller stamping dies.
  • Assist with manufacturing and assembly of machined parts for custom in-house-built equipment.
  • Support plant manufacturing operations as needed.
  • Perform other job duties and responsibilities as assigned.
