At Raytheon, the foundation of everything we do is rooted in our values and a higher calling – to help our nation and allies defend freedoms and deter aggression. We bring the strength of more than 100 years of experience and renowned engineering expertise to meet the needs of today’s mission and stay ahead of tomorrow’s threat. Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities (SE&TC) integrates, verifies, and validates our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this, we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work together with our customers. We are currently hiring a Tomahawk Production & Recertification Engineering Hardware Management Team (HMT) Deputy Lead. This leader will develop, maintain and ensure execution of the engineering strategy to meet Raytheon’s commitments of delivering Tomahawk missiles to the US Navy. The Production and Recertification HMT engineering team is also responsible for transitioning new Tomahawk configurations into production and for all flight test and engineering test missiles delivered from the factory. The role will work directly for the Production & Recertification Engineering HMT Lead and requires critical interaction/event planning with the Chief Engineers, Program Managers, Customer representatives, Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, and other functions. This person, in collaboration with the HMT Lead, will lead a current team of 60 engineers that will be increasing to 85 engineers within the next year to plan and execute engineering efforts required in support of missile deliveries. This role will coordinate frequently and directly with program management on financial planning and execution (EVMS). This will require working with engineering HMT and cross product team-leads to strategize and execute the enhancements and scaling required to achieve increased supplier product and missile delivery requirements. Technical leadership and innovative and systematic problem-solving skills are required to address challenges to meeting missile deliveries. This person will generate basis of estimates in support of proposal efforts and may negotiate directly with the customer counterparts. The person fulfilling this role will also be working closely with Tomahawk Lead Systems Engineers and Test Architects. Join this team to perform technically challenging assignments which will directly contribute to protecting our nation and our war fighters. The position is located in Tucson, Arizona.
