The Naval Power Finance Organization is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior level Financial Analyst to support financial execution and analytical oversight for Tomahawk capacity, acceleration, and rate-readiness activities. This role provides hands-on responsibility for monthly financial processes, cost and schedule analysis, contract reporting, and EAC development across key Tomahawk portfolio initiatives such as Test Equipment modernization, obsolescence redesign, capital projects, and supplier throughput increases. This position partners closely with Program Management, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to ensure disciplined financial execution. Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Business, or related field and a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree and less than 2 years’ experience.
  • Experience with financial reporting, data analysis, forecasting, or process improvement.
  • Experience in Excel including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, conditional formatting, and charts.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with APEX, PRISM, Analysis for Office, SAP, or SAP Business Warehouse.
  • Understanding of Earned Value Management (EVMS) and willingness to pursue certification.

Responsibilities

  • Lead preparation of routine cost and schedule variance analyses that explain performance trends for Tomahawk capacity efforts.
  • Support Quarterly EAC development by coordinating functional inputs and validating assumptions.
  • Analyze financial impacts of Test Equipment upgrades, supplier rate-readiness investments, and obsolescence redesign activities.
  • Help define and interpret monthly variances to budget, forecast, and EAC positions.
  • Support monthly LRE (Latest Revised Estimate) and quarterly EAC cycles using financial tools and metrics.
  • Assist in preparing proposal and CDRL-related financial materials to support funding and contract reporting requirements.
  • Perform detailed financial analysis to support cost, schedule, and performance understanding across multiple Tomahawk contracts.
  • Complete monthly cost CDRLs and other financial deliverables within tight deadlines.
  • Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly data analysis for leadership.
  • Update financial charts, reviews, and presentations for Program Management Reviews
  • Process approved Budget Change Requests (BCRs) and ensure proper integration into control systems.
  • Manage key elements of the monthly forecast cycle, including data validation and RPLAN update preparation.
  • Support FP&A cadence activities including consolidations and reporting.
