About The Position

The Learning Experience – Bushwick is hiring a dedicated Toddler Teacher to guide our classroom of energetic and curious 2-year-olds. Our program emphasizes hands-on exploration, early independence, and meaningful routines that help toddlers grow socially, emotionally, and academically. If you have experience working with toddlers in a daycare or preschool setting and enjoy leading an active classroom, we want to speak with you.

Requirements

Candidates must meet one of the following: Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE), OR Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, OR Minimum of 5 years of professional experience with young children plus high school diploma
Must meet all New York State early childhood educator qualifications.

Nice To Haves

Experience leading or supporting a toddler or preschool classroom preferred.
Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) for 2-year-olds.
CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead the daily operations of a 2-year-old classroom, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and age-appropriate space.
Implement The Learning Experience’s L.E.A.P. Curriculum , supporting toddlers’ cognitive, language, motor, and social-emotional skills.
Work collaboratively with assistant teachers, modeling strong classroom practices and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Build trusting relationships with families and provide daily updates on children’s routines and progress.
Maintain compliance with New York State early childhood licensing and health/safety standards.
