About The Position

The Learning Experience – Beltline is seeking a caring and dependable Toddler Teacher to support a classroom serving young toddlers. This role is ideal for an educator who enjoys guiding children through early independence, language development, and social growth in a structured, play-based learning environment. Our toddler program emphasizes consistent routines, positive guidance, and hands-on exploration to help children feel secure, confident, and engaged throughout the day.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Toddler, daycare, or childcare experience preferred
• Early childhood coursework or degree a plus
• Must meet Michigan childcare licensing and background requirements
• Reliable, patient, and team-oriented

Responsibilities

• Support daily toddler classroom activities in a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment
• Implement age-appropriate learning experiences aligned with the L.E.A.P. curriculum
• Encourage early language, motor skills, and social-emotional development through play
• Maintain consistent routines including meals, diapering or toileting, transitions, and rest time
• Observe children’s progress and share updates with the teaching team
• Communicate regularly with families about daily routines and activities
• Collaborate with leadership and teaching teams to meet licensing and school standards
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom and follow health and safety guidelines
