About The Position

At Magical Beginnings Learning Centers, we know that toddlerhood is a time of incredible growth, curiosity, and discovery. We are seeking a caring, energetic Toddler Teacher who is passionate about helping young children build confidence, develop new skills, and explore the world around them in a safe and nurturing environment. As a Toddler Teacher, you will play an important role in supporting children's social-emotional, physical, and cognitive development through engaging learning experiences, responsive caregiving, and meaningful connections with families. The ideal candidate is patient, positive, and enthusiastic about guiding toddlers as they navigate important milestones, develop independence, and build a lifelong love of learning.

Requirements

  • Massachusetts EEC Infant/Toddler Teacher Certification required
  • Previous experience working in a toddler classroom, daycare, childcare center, or early childhood education setting preferred
  • Strong understanding of infant development and developmentally appropriate practices
  • Ability to create a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for infants
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and professionalism
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
  • Ability to actively engage with children throughout the day, including lifting, bending, sitting on the floor, and participating in indoor and outdoor activities
  • All offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of required Massachusetts background checks and EEC requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Create a warm, welcoming classroom where toddlers feel safe, supported, and encouraged to explore.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning through play, movement, creativity, and hands-on experiences.
  • Support children's social-emotional development by modeling positive interactions, helping them build friendships, and guiding them through problem-solving opportunities.
  • Foster language development through conversations, storytelling, songs, and daily interactions.
  • Maintain a safe, healthy, and organized classroom environment that meets all licensing and company standards.
  • Observe and document children's progress and developmental milestones.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with families through regular communication and partnership.
  • Work closely with fellow teachers and center leadership to create a positive and supportive learning community.
  • Assist with daily routines including meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, and transitions while promoting independence and self-help skills.
