About The Position
The Learning Experience – River Vale is seeking a caring and dependable Toddler Teacher to support children during an important stage of early development. This role focuses on helping toddlers build communication skills, independence, and confidence through structured routines and engaging classroom activities. This position is ideal for educators who enjoy working with younger learners in a nurturing and consistent early childhood environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior toddler or childcare classroom experience preferred
- Comfortable supporting diapering and classroom routines
- Patient, dependable, and team-oriented
- Ability to meet New Jersey childcare licensing requirements
Responsibilities
- Lead daily classroom routines for children ages 12–24 months
- Support early language development and social interaction through guided activities
- Assist with transitions including meals, diapering, and rest time
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
- Encourage independence through structured learning centers and routines
- Communicate regularly with families about daily activities and developmental progress
- Collaborate with teaching team members and center leadership
- Follow all New Jersey childcare licensing requirements and center policies
