About The Position
Exciting things are happening at Tri-County Head Start! This summer our Durango program will be moving into a brand new, state-of-the-art child care facility, designed with top-notch early learning spaces as well as modern safety and security features to support quality early childhood education, collaboration, and care. This is a wonderful opportunity to join our team during an exciting season of growing and shaping a fresh learning environment for children, families, and staff. The Teacher Aide supports Toddler Teachers in creating a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children, leading daily classroom routines, supervising and engaging children, and supporting children’s social, emotional, and developmental needs. The Teacher Aide will have a base classroom and will also support the center by substituting in other classrooms and floating for Teacher breaks as needed.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Willingness to obtain a Child Development Associate Credential within the first year of hire
- Background checks are required for hire
