About The Position

Magical Beginnings Learning Centers is seeking a Massachusetts EEC Certified Toddler or Preschool Teacher to join their team. This role involves working with older toddlers as they transition toward preschool, creating engaging, play-based learning experiences that support independence, confidence, communication, and social-emotional development. The position emphasizes building meaningful relationships with children and families, collaborating with experienced educators, and contributing to a culture of continuous learning and high-quality early childhood education. The ideal candidate is nurturing, enthusiastic, dependable, passionate about early education, and dedicated to creating safe, inclusive, and engaging classrooms.

Requirements

  • Massachusetts EEC Teacher Infant/Toddler and Preschool Teacher Certifications (required)
  • Daycare experience in a center-based, private, or public school setting
  • An energetic approach to learning and a positive attitude
  • Curiosity, creativity, and a strong team-focused mindset
  • Flexibility to work an 8-hour shift within the operating hours of the school, including opening and closing shifts
  • Ability to spend extended periods of time on the floor with the children
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to stand up to 90% of the workday
  • Attentiveness, strong time management, and strong collaboration skills

Nice To Haves

  • CDA or degree in Early Childhood Education preferred

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with co-teacher to prepare curriculum, lesson plans, materials, and monthly newsletters.
  • Keeping parents informed via Class Dojo app and classroom boards.
  • Providing a safe environment by maintaining orderly, clean, and appealing classrooms.
  • Encouraging children's participation through age-appropriate interactive activities.
  • Maintaining classroom cleanliness, including routine opening/closing tasks, wiping down toys, cleaning tables, vacuuming, sanitizing, emptying trash, and preparing the classroom for the next day.
  • Engaging with students in free play, supervising during outdoor time, assisting with bathroom needs and diapering, assisting with snacks and meals, and assisting with naptime.
  • Adhering to the school's structured schedules.
  • Tracking children's progress and completing assessments.
  • Maintaining EEC required professional development hours and PQ registry.
  • Attending monthly staff meetings.
  • Creating a fun and safe learning environment for students.
  • Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with students and parents.
