About The Position

At Magical Beginnings, With Care, We Care guides every classroom and every learning experience we provide. We're seeking a passionate, experienced Toddler/Preschool Teacher to join our team at our Plymouth location, supporting children ages 15 months–5 years through play-based learning that builds independence, language, and social-emotional growth. As a Toddler/Preschool Teacher, you'll create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment where children can explore, build confidence, develop independence, and reach important developmental milestones through hands-on learning and positive relationships. Requirements

  • Massachusetts EEC Infant/Toddler/Preschool Teacher Certification required
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of one year of experience working with toddlers or preschoolers in a childcare, daycare, or preschool setting
  • Knowledge of toddler and preschool development, including language, social-emotional learning, and positive behavior guidance
  • Full-time availability for an 8-hour shift within the center's operating hours, including opening or closing shifts as needed
  • Ability to spend extended periods of time on the floor with children, stand for the majority of the workday, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills, with a genuine passion for early childhood education

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead a toddler/preschool classroom, planning and implementing lesson plans, learning centers, and sensory activities that support early development
  • Foster social-emotional growth, language development, and emerging independence through play-based learning and positive behavior guidance
  • Support daily classroom routines, including meals, diapering, toileting, rest time, outdoor play, and transitions
  • Observe and communicate children's developmental progress to families, and build strong partnerships through daily updates
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom in compliance with Massachusetts EEC regulations and ratios
  • Collaborate with co-teachers and center leadership, and participate in staff meetings and ongoing professional development
