About The Position
La Mère Academy is seeking a passionate Toddler Lead Teacher (12–24 months) to join their team. This role involves shaping young minds, supporting developmental milestones, and creating a safe, nurturing environment for toddlers in a licensed childcare center. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for early childhood education and experience in daycare, preschool, or child development settings.
Requirements
- Passion for toddlers, childcare, and early childhood education
- High School Diploma or GED
- CPR & First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Meets Texas childcare licensing requirements
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Nice To Haves
- Experience in daycare, preschool, or child development
- CDA or ECE degree
Responsibilities
- Lead a toddler classroom (12–24 months) in a licensed childcare center
- Implement curriculum, lesson plans, and age-appropriate activities
- Provide high-quality childcare and supervision
- Support social, emotional, cognitive, and motor skill development
- Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging daycare classroom environment
- Communicate with parents and collaborate with staff
- Follow state licensing regulations and health & safety standards
