About The Position

The Tobacco Stocker is responsible for the flow of merchandise from the point of delivery to the sales floor or internal destination. This role involves unpacking, processing, organizing, and storing merchandise to ensure products are easily accessible, visually appealing, and constantly available. The Tobacco Stocker also plays a key role in enhancing the brand image and positively impacting the customer experience by ensuring all items are stocked and the area is ready for customers. Additionally, maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment is crucial.

Requirements

2-3 years’ experience working with scanners and in a large distribution company.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to effectively manage time, meet targets and work in a team.
In compliance with the food and safety regulations.
Prolonged walking and standing for 8 continuous hours including but not limited to a concrete or tile surface.
Product replenishing which includes frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, balancing, pushing and pulling.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Ensuring that products are easily accessible, visually appealing, and constantly available.
Enhancing the brand image of both the products and the store, and positively impacting the customer experience.
Ensuring that all items are stocked and area is ready for customers to shop.
Ensuring that warehouse is clean and safe to shop.
Sorting Tobacco items and assigning them with relevant labels and price tags.
Stacking goods in an organized manner in the store shelves.
Maintaining replenishment of products in a timely manner.
Keeping products rotated and maintaining product quality.
Ensuring perishable goods are stored at the appropriate temperature.
Maintaining regular inventory counts.
Prominently displaying promotional offers.
Reporting damages and discrepancies to the supervisor.
Coordinating work functions with the sales team and other departments.
Fronting and facing products.
