About The Position

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for a variety of machine-specific functions. Duties include identifying, confirming, and prioritizing work; setting up machinery and performing tool changes and changeovers; loading programs or inputs into machine controls; and using proper tools on machines. Operators perform and record daily preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment, bunch, label, and stage parts for the next manufacturing process, maintain exceptional housekeeping, and understand lockout/tagout procedures.

Requirements

• Machine operator experience is required.
• Blueprint-reading skills.
• Ability to understand and convert decimals and fractions.
• Attention to detail.
• Computer skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to move at least 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and use hand tools for 8–10 hours per day.
• Wear the necessary personal protective equipment for the position.

Nice To Haves

• Machine operator experience in a coil manufacturer.
• Forklift experience.
