About The Position

This role is focused on providing exceptional patient care and administrative support within a TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) therapy setting. The coordinator will be responsible for patient consultations, delivering therapy, maintaining a safe treatment environment, and handling various office administrative tasks. This position is a key part of the Clinical Team, requiring collaboration with other healthcare professionals and ensuring compliance with all regulations. The role also involves assisting with insurance preauthorization and delivering outstanding customer service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in the field of psychology, neurobiology, social work, Pre-med, or related major
  • Excellent oral communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Providing educational consultations to interested patients.
  • Delivering TMS Therapy to patients.
  • Providing a safe and therapeutic environment for daily treatment sessions.
  • Performing office administrative tasks such as managing leads, reporting statistical activity to the center manager, scheduling appointments, collecting copays, and handling all medical records in compliance with HIPAA.
  • Serving as a member of the Clinical Team and participating in all team meetings and activities.
  • Assisting clerical support staff in providing needed documentation for insurance preauthorization and/or reimbursement.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.
  • Assuming other related responsibilities as assigned by management.
  • Adapting to a fast-paced environment, responding to changes in patient needs, equipment modifications, and emerging industry standards or guidelines.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, neurologists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for TMS patients.
  • Effectively communicating with patients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding TMS procedures, benefits, potential side effects, and ongoing treatment plans.
  • Staying up-to-date on the latest advancements, research, and best practices in the field of TMS through ongoing professional development and participation in relevant training programs or conferences.
  • Maintaining accurate and thorough records of patient information, treatment plans, and outcomes, following established protocols to ensure confidentiality and facilitate continuity of care.
  • Demonstrating empathy, compassion, and a patient-centered approach in providing care to individuals undergoing TMS treatment, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns or questions.
  • Proactively identifying and troubleshooting challenges or complications that may arise during TMS sessions, utilizing critical thinking skills to determine appropriate courses of action.
  • Adhering to strict safety protocols to ensure the well-being of patients during TMS sessions, including proper placement of electromagnets and monitoring equipment throughout the procedure.
  • Possessing a strong understanding of the principles and operation of TMS equipment, as well as the ability to set up and calibrate the machinery properly.
  • Assessing equipment functionality, identifying potential technical issues, and performing routine maintenance tasks to maintain the optimal performance of TMS equipment.
