About The Position

Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) is partnering with Wholesale & Specialty Insurance Association (WSIA) to identify top HBCU talent for the 2026 TMCF WSIA Exploration Experience. This one-day event will take place on July 8, 2026, in Houston, Texas, as part of the 2026 TMCF Devcon Zone 2. WSIA is a leading member service organization for the wholesale, specialty, and surplus lines insurance industry, focused on industry development, networking, education, talent recruitment, and advocacy. They are looking for ambitious students with diverse perspectives and a passion for innovation to become future leaders in insurance and risk management. The program offers selected students exclusive access to WSIA, networking with industry professionals, and insights into internship and career pathways.

Requirements

Must submit a TMCF Formatted Resume.
Be a Freshman (expected graduation 2028) or Sophomore (expected graduation 2029) at the time of application.
Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
Be enrolled at a Devcon HTX Zone 2 college or university.
Be available to travel and fully participate in the immersion experience in mid-July 2026.
Be available to travel and fully participate in the WSIA Internship Summer 2027.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien.
