About The Position

This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) permanent position for a TK/K Combo Montessori Teacher at Cottage Elementary School. The school is designated as a high-needs school. The salary range is $60,000 - $126,000 annually, with potential for additional stipends for hard-to-staff positions, advanced degrees, and extra-curricular activities. The work year is 10 months, consisting of 186 days per year, with a professional work day of 6 hours. Cottage Elementary School is a Montessori site, and Montessori certification is preferred.

Requirements

• Credentialed teacher.
• For TK classroom assignment after July 1, 2015, must have by August 1, 2025: at least 24 units in early childhood education, or childhood development, or both; OR professional experience in a classroom setting with preschool age children comparable to 24 units of education; OR a Child Development Teacher Permit issued by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
