About The Position

OPENLANE is seeking a Title Specialist to conduct title service processing with the purpose of ensuring all client service level agreements (SLA’s) and PAR quality standards are met. The Title Specialist must become proficient and gain the client confidence in the areas of customer service, 50 state titling process, recovery affidavits, and communications with the auctions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years general office and data entry required.
  • Fast, accurate typing – 45-60 WPM.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years experience in Title processing preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Computer Experience – Windows and Google Applications

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service, strong telephone support and ability to answer or research the answer to client questions.
  • Perform general filing, copying and administrative support.
  • Complete title and/or registration applications, recovery affidavits and track transactions in all 51 U.S. jurisdictions.
  • Input new title requests into title inventory system.
  • Call Department of Motor Vehicles for updates daily.
  • Prepare and distribute title invoices involving a fee or charge.
  • Review all titles and related documents for clients assigned to determine action required to provide good negotiable titles.
  • Post title information to remarketing units in inventory.
  • Create, sign, and keep documents confirming the movement of title work within PAR North America.
  • Ensure correct identification of each title.
  • Prepare, audit and maintain records relating to money required by states to process individual titles.
  • Communicate changes with Department of Motor Vehicles in state processing of title applications to the Title Supervisor and Manager.
  • Maintain a quick reference guide containing information appropriate to day-to-day title needs.
  • Maintain up-to-date files keeping current information and required forms to apply for new, duplicate or repossession titles from each state.
  • Understand and use the NADA and Registration Text Book and other applicable trade manuals.
  • Retain and understand how to utilize all the PAR internal computer system.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with all clients assigned.
  • Communicate any concerns to supervisor or management.
  • Provide reports to management or clients as required.
  • Perform other duties as directed by Management.
