About The Position

This position is for a Title IV-E Medicaid Eligibility Specialist for the Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS) in the Salt Lake Valley Region. The role involves making initial and continuing Title IV-E and Medicaid eligibility determinations for Foster Care children in accordance with Federal, State, DHHS and DCFS policy and regulations. The position is offered as Full-Time or Part-Time with an hourly wage range of $19.24 - $28.86. It is a hybrid role, allowing for both in-office and telework days, with the understanding that employees must physically work within the State of Utah Boundaries. Nice To Haves

Two or more years' experience working in government or public programs
Professional work experience and/or knowledge of Foster Care services
Current employees of the Utah Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS)

Responsibilities

Collecting and reviewing client information to determine client's/applicant's eligibility and options.
Participate in Peer Reviews and state and Federal audits.
Preparing and/or processing documents; reviewing for accuracy and completeness; updating information and/or evaluating against policy; comparing elements for consistency or logical relationships, etc.
Referring clients to other available services to meet needs where appropriate.
Consulting with Division staff regarding eligibility requirements when necessary.
Maintaining and/or creating files or record keeping systems; sorting, labeling, filing, and retrieving documents, and/or other materials.
Entering data into relevant databases such as EREP and SAFE.
