About The Position

This position is for a Title III Supplemental Tutoring role for the 2026-2027 school year. The tutor will provide in-person support to English Learners in identified schools, focusing on literacy intervention and content support in areas of weakness. The role involves creating learning and activity plans, delivering individual or small group instruction, and monitoring student progress through data analysis to tailor instruction.

Requirements

• Hold or be eligible for a valid Georgia Educator Certificate at the T-4 level or higher in core content and/or ESOL, or meet the district's professional qualifications.
• Exceptional integrity, commitment to confidentiality, excellent character, and strong professional reputation.
• Ability to abide by the Georgia Professional Standards Code of Ethics for Educators.
• Must be regularly, predictably, and reliably at work.
• Ability to be present at the physical worksite, as required.
• Must perform tasks involving prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting.
• Must perform routine physical activities such as bending and lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds.
• Vision, hearing, written, and verbal communications are essential factors in performing required tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide supplemental, in-person tutoring after school, during the day, on Saturdays and/or during the summer.
• Work in identified schools with English Learners to provide additional literacy intervention and content support in identified areas of weakness.
• Prepare Learning Plans on Literacy and/or content area support for each student.
• Prepare activity/lesson plans for tutoring sessions according to student needs and goals.
• Provide individual or small group instruction to students to improve academic performance in the identified areas of need.
• Monitor progress and analyze data to tailor instruction based on the students’ specific needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
