About The Position
This position is for the 2026-2027 school year. It is a 9-month, 7-hour per day role within the Social/Emotional Teaching and Reinforcement - Primary (STAR-P) program.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Two years of experience as a Teacher Assistant or in a related field.
- Completion of 60 college credits or passing the ParaPro Assessment.
- Possession of a valid Nevada State Teaching License with an endorsement in Special Education (if applicable).
- Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- Knowledge of child development and behavior management techniques.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus.
