About The Position
The Title I After School Tutor works directly with identified Title I students who are failing or at risk of failing. The tutor provides intervention support in reading, language arts, and math through the after-school tutoring program. The position reports to the Building Principal and Director of Title I.
Requirements
- Two years of effective classroom teaching experience.
- Thorough and complete knowledge of Indiana Academic Math and Reading/Language Arts Standards.
- Proven leadership ability.
- Explicit understanding of effective Math and Reading/Language Arts curriculum and instructional practices.
- Appropriate licensing to teach K–8; HQ.
Responsibilities
- Provide intervention support in reading, language arts, and math to identified Title I students who are failing or at risk of failing through the after-school tutoring program.
