About The Position

The Title 1 Teacher will provide Title I services that are pull out only. This role involves regular contact with students' classroom teachers and using teacher input to assist in choosing appropriate activities. The teacher will maintain an open line of communication with students' homeroom teachers, parents, and Ignite Education Solutions. Services will be provided to students who have submitted a signed permission slip only. The position requires lesson preparation and delivery, accessing and referring to academic standards, using supplemental materials appropriate for each child's ability, and accessing students' IEPs if needed. A schedule will be created that includes up to 15 minutes of prep time for every full hour of instructional time. Any non-instruction time is not billable above/beyond the 15 minutes of prep/hour. Issues with scheduling should be directed to the supervisor. Services may be provided via Zoom if needed. Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in early childhood/elementary education from an accredited college or university and certification in Elementary Education or Special Education.
Willingness to go through (and pass!) the required clearances and training to ensure the safety and security of our children, including: four clearances, mandated reporter training, a physical, and TB test.
Capacity for sitting, standing, walking, bending and stopping for long periods of time, as these happen throughout the eight-hour day.

Responsibilities

Classroom Management
Regular contact with the students’ classroom teacher(s) and uses teacher input to assist in choosing appropriate activities

Provide Title I services that are pull out only
Provide services to students who have submitted a signed permission slip only
Lesson Preparation and Delivery
Access and refer to the academic standards for the subject level specific to assigned students
Use supplemental materials that are most appropriate for each child’s ability
Access students’ IEPs (or non-public equivalent) if needed and if desired by cooperating school district
Create a schedule that includes up to 15 minutes of prep time for every full hour of instructional time with students. (Apart from the allotted prep, your schedule may not include time that is not direct, pull out instructions with students. Any non-instruction time is not billable above/beyond the 15 minutes of prep/hour. Issues with scheduling should be directed to your supervisor at Ignite.)
